How to Boost your Child’s Confidence
Posted by Jill Heaton on
Why should you boost your Child’s Confidence?
Being confident means believing in yourself, your abilities and your unique qualities.
Believing in yourself brings a lot of benefits throughout your life. Children who are confident are more likely to try new things. They are motivated to do their best and are proud of themselves. It also helps them to cope with mistakes and experience less fear and anxiety.
Sadly not every child is blessed with a lot of confidence and self-esteem. However, like other characteristics in life, you are capable of improving your child's confidence.
You can start by building a good foundation for your child by;
1. Complimenting your child on good behavior
2. Encouraging your child to try new things
3. Telling your child that you believe in them
4. Reminding your child of their good qualities.
As with other things some children need more encouragement than others and as parents we have so much to remember that we often forget to remind our children about their best qualities.
Toys and games can be used to provide children with the words they need to hear and reading them can be especially powerful. This jigsaw was created as a useful tool for parents and teachers to boost a childrens' self esteem.
