Safari Party Games

Here are a few ideas for animal party games you could do during your animal party!

Safari Treasure Hunt

The most fun the kids will have at your party will be the safari treasure hunt! They'll be trumpeting like elephants and roaring like lions, looking high and low for our missing safari animals. With 6 rhyming clues and treasure markers to find, the adventurers can find treasure in the 3D lion's jaws. Fill with chocolate coins or even get the kids to fill their own party bags by having treasure to find at each marker.

Pin the Tail on the Elephant

Go to buy our pin the tail on the elephant game and once we've emailed it to you, cut out the elephant and the tail, stick the elephant on a piece of card then put some sticky tape or blu-tac on the tail. A cut out blindfold and winners medal is included! Blindfold each child and let them take it in turns to try to pin the tail on the elephant. Mark who gets nearest and that's your winner!

Safari Stepping Stones (3 games in 1)

This game is similar to musical chairs. If you go and buy our safari stepping stones game you'll find that you can use the stones to play three completely different games to keep the kids entertained for about 20 - 30 minutes! The three safari animal party games you can play are:

  • Stepping stones game - place all the stepping stones around the dance floor (use the anti-slip strips provided) and then get the children dancing to their favourite songs! Just like in musical chairs take away one of the stones while everyone is dancing. When you stop the music everyone needs to find their own stone to stand on, anyone not standing on a stone is out, until there is one winner.
  • Four corners game - set out four of the stones, make sure you use a different character for each and put them in the corners of the room. Play some music while the kids dance, and when the music stops they must run and stand next to one of the stones in the corner. Without looking at which children have gone where, choose a character stone to eliminate and whoever is standing next to that character is out.
  • Relay race - organise the kids into four small teams so they can take part in a relay race. Place two stones as markers for the start and the finish line for each team. If you want to make the relay race a little harder you can get them to have an egg and spoon race, a sack race or a 3 legged race.

Best Dressed Animal or Safari Boy/Girl Competition

On your party invitations suggest that the kids come to the animal party in fancy dress and judge the winner as soon as they have all arrived at the party.

Musical Wild Animals

This animal party game is exactly the same as musical chairs, except the children remain seated and pass around one or more wild animal teddies. When the music stops the child left holding the teddy is out of the game until there is a winner.

Animal Face Painting Stations

Great for older kids! Set up a 2 stations to be manned by yourself and a friend. Specialise in one animal each, for example, one person can offer to paint lions and the other monkeys. This way you’ll become really quick and the children won’t be kept waiting too long.

Animal Charades

The host should start the game by choosing an animal to enact. The first child to guess what animal is being depicted gets to be the next contestant. The host should whisper to each child, in turn, the animal that they have to act out. The game goes on until every child has had a turn.
